Gathering Storm · 暗流涌动

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Gathering Storm ("the App") is an offline note-taking app for iOS, provided by Underwater Volcano (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the App handles — in short: your notes never leave your device, and we do not collect any personal information.

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data.
It has no account system, no server, no analytics, and no advertising. It makes no network requests.

1. Information We Collect

None. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information on our side. There is no sign-up, no login, no tracking, and no third-party SDK of any kind in the App.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

All content you create in the App — messages, memos, spaces, and attached images — is stored only in the App's local storage on your device. We have no access to it, and it is never uploaded anywhere.

3. Permissions

The App may request two permissions, only when you use the corresponding features:

Camera — to take a photo and attach it to a note. The photo stays on your device.
Photo Library — to pick an existing photo and attach it to a note. The photo stays on your device.

Neither permission is required to use the App for text notes, and granting them never causes any data to leave your device.

4. Data Export and Deletion (Your Control)

Export: You can export all of your notes as a JSON file from Settings. The export is created on your device and is shared only if you choose to share it (for example, via AirDrop or saving to Files).
Delete: You can wipe all App data with one tap in Settings. Uninstalling the App also permanently removes all of its data from your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Because the App collects no information at all, it does not knowingly collect any information from children. The App is safe for use by all ages.

6. Changes to This Policy

If a future version of the App changes how data is handled, we will update this page and the App Store listing before that version is released.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at: caizhidian@gmail.com
